1.0 INTRODUCTION

After setting up your product whichever way you want as discussed in chapter 12, your salesletter and maybe a couple of email swipes for your personal and affiliates’ uses, what is the next thing to do in your bid to enjoy the profits from your business, the profits that you have been working for for umpteenth number of hours now.

Your guess is as good as mine:

Traffic! Traffic! Traffic!

2.0 MAIN CONTENT

I have previously discussed the importance of traffic for your online business.

– And that there are two kinds of traffic that you can bring to your websites to keep your business thriving and profitable.

They are: free traffic and paid traffic.

Both kinds are needed for your business to survive in the short-run and in the long-run.

3.1 Why Free Traffic

But in the short run, you should go for free traffic, particularly if your business has a bootstrap budget or you are just experimenting to see if and how thing will work out before investing massively on your vision. This chapter will discuss the different types of traffic that you have as an internet business beginner. I will also mention that experienced and top-flight internet marketers may use these tools to boost their profits.

But, you are an internet marketer, and this is the consensus: internet marketers tend to dismiss free online tools that are actually abundant in business. You are not a boy and you must know that there is no reason to be dismissive of free tools online. As he masters the art, he can choose which of the tools to upgrade or downgrade.

3.2 The Correct Ways to Use It

Shsssssssh… do not say to anybody that I divulge this highly guarded secret of the GURUS to you: some of them are still using these free tools and methods in their own businesses till tomorrow, because it is highly efficient just as the paid ones – only if you know the correct ways to use them.

Now, show me a man with the usual grey matter who will be given free tools and shown how to use it correctly to make profits in his business but he dumps them for the paid ones?

None.

Period.

Now let us go on to explore the free sources of traffic that you can use skillfully to make profits in your business from the onset of your business.

There are actually innumerable number of free resources that you can use to bring countless number of eyeballs easily to see your product on your site, but I will only examine the common ones here. You may be familiar with some of these, but I’ll only discuss the ones that are most profitable.

Go to Facebook now and create an account. You will only need your email address and password to log in. Once you have signed up, start sharing and making friends. But, don’t spam.

Only focus on increasing social interaction and then securing their attention to your products or services. You will make your business more visible to them if they know you. You can create a YouTube channel, post 1-2 minutes long videos with a link to either your affiliate products, or to your site.

Add a free gift at the end to get them signed up. Your video topic must contain a keyword that has been thoroughly researched.

Enter article directory into your browser. It will give you multiple options to select from. EzineArticles and GoArticles are the most well-known. Twitter

Twitter Marketing can be extremely rewarding. Like other social media, their account is completely free. All you need to do it is your email and a password. Make friends and create a group to become an authority on a particular marketing niche. You can share newsworthy, relevant and well-curated content in your field of expertise. You will be able to sell quickly if you join discussions or send hash tags to influencers (popular persons) to your contacts. You must not SPAM.

  • This is an image/video-centric social media platform and you can learn how to make your business more successful. It is a powerful tool that many businesspeople are eager to use. Start by creating your network of friends and followers. Then, you can use snapchat for marketing, as well as to interact with them. Also Google for Snapchat for Entrepreneurs.

LinkedIn

Though a social network, it allows you to promote your business freely. Optimize your page, link to it from your blog and if possible, follow other influential bloggers. Follow other influential and popular bloggers and post regularly.

Very few people know how LinkedIn can be used to run business promotion. You will get more traffic from your mobile device users if your site is mobile-friendly. Compare Your Competitors

Online business competition is a great way to find out the location of money. See what they do and go where they go and come back with wisdom that will enable you to run your business profitably.
